On the afternoon of September 9th, 2019, Ms. Wang made a special trip to Jiali Law Firm to present Lawyer Zhengliang Ren and Auxiliary Counsel Weijie Lv with a banner reading, ‘Models of Dedicated Lawyers’.

It is known that Ms. Wang sold a house under her name and purchased a new house. Due to the policy restrictions on house purchase, she was unable to transfer the new house to her name, so she registered it in her son’s name. Two years later, she hoped that her son would transfer the house back according to the agreement, but the son refused. Ms. Wang had no choice but to file a lawsuit against her son, hoping to recover her only house to live in after retirement.

After accepting the entrustment, Lawyer Zhengliang Ren immediately led Auxiliary Counsel Weijie Lv to investigate the case, and made a detailed evidence list after communicating with Ms. Wang in person and helping her to collect the related evidence. Cooperating with the judge, they also conducted an investigation of the current condition of the house. During the trial, the son stated that “the house was a gift from Ms. Wang for his marriage”. In response, Zhengliang Ren provided ample evidence and emphasised the key time point in which “selling the old house and signing the contract of the new house happened on the same day”, systematically arguing that the new house was purchased by Ms. Wang while borrowing someone else’s name.

In the end, the judge completely adopted the opinion of Zhengliang Ren, and sentenced the son to assist Ms. Wang in handling the transfer within seven working days, and to pay total litigation costs of RMB 14,000.

Zhengliang Ren has a solid theoretical foundation and is skilled at thinking from the client’s perspective and finding the most favourable evidence among complicated connections. In this case, Ms. Wang bore great emotional pressure because her only house was occupied by her son. In the process of handling the case, the consistent professionalism and patience of Lawyer Ren and Auxiliary Counsel Lv moved Ms. Wang and her family. After receiving the judgement, she had a special banner made to express her gratitude.
